Democracy!
Yes, the current problem, its the big word, “DEMOCRACY”.
And yes, I completely agree, its a very bold and unorthodox statement.
As a person who has been the product and someone who has completely benefited from ”Democracy”, I completely enjoy the “right” to even write this thought and post it online.
But the problem I am going to talk about today is not about the things that are right but the wrong things that is going wrong in our “Democracy”.
Imagine this.
There is a ship.
You are on the ship.
There are other 80 people.
And there are 2 possible candidates for the Captain of the ship.
The first guy, Ram, is uneducated, a very rude and unemphatic son of a bitch, who reeks of sweat.
The second guy, Shyam, is a sweet guy, the kind of guy you would want to call home and have dinner together. This person is every man’s friend.
Who would you vote?
For sure, even if I would vote Shyam.
But, the unknown things for you and me.
Ram is a very experienced person capable of reading the map, using the compass and the ability to forecast the weather.
Shyam is a well-qualified graduate in history, who has given all his life in his field.
Now, with this information, who would you choose?
Now, you may be a smart-ass and think obviously you would have known this information before you vote.
Really? Really?
Now let's at the equivalent.
It’s easy in the context of a ship because we at least know the idea of map, compass and weather.
What do you think are the equivalent of maps, compass and weather in the context of running a country?
What would even be the right skills be look for in a person trying to run the country?
Dimag ma ta aayo hola k k, tara do you really know?
Just remember, Shyam is also a highly literate and dedicated person.
For me currently, how I view the current problem is that, us, collectively you, me and a total of 80 people have selected more Shyams in our country the the Rams.
And it’s not because Ram is rude or Shyam is good but because both you and I have forfeited our responsibility to gain the fundaments knowledge of maps, compass and weather.
We choose only to enjoy the “right”, the “right” decided by the “Shyams”s of our country.
I have no conclusion or lesson in return to give because I am just a guy.
You are under “Democracy”, and have the full right to make up your own mind.
Well “if you decide to” that is.
For dumb and lazy people (Generated by AI):
I think democracy lets us vote, but do we know who for? A ship needs a captain: Ram is experienced, and Shyam is likeable. Most vote for Shyam. I think Nepal has too many "Shyams" (likeable but unskilled leaders), and not enough "Rams" (the real leaders). We vote but don't learn what it even know what it takes to run a country. I have no answers, but we need to think harder about who we choose.
